“We are not going to change the whole world, but we can change ourselves and feel free as birds. We can be serene even in the midst of calamities and, by our serenity, make others more tranquil. Serenity is contagious. If we smile at someone, he or she will smile back. And a smile costs nothing. We should plague everyone with joy. If we are to die in a minute, why not die happily, laughing? (136-137)”

― Swami Satchidananda, The Yoga Sutras

Yoga flow and dynamic alignment
These 6 week courses are suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience of yoga and who wish to concentrate on developing a deeper knowledge of the dynamic alignment principles in yoga postures. We will move slowly, taking the time to fully explore breathing techniques and yoga postures (asanas). The body will begin to open and release tension as the teaching encourages the cultivation of a natural grace and alignment. Each course is structured around a key yoga principle or posture with each class building on techniques explored in the weeks before. Please let me know if you wish to book onto the Monday or Wednesday course.

£60 for a 6 week course

When: Friday
Time: 10-11am

Mother and Baby Yoga
These Birthlight classes support Postnatal recovery and the practices can be taught to women straight after birth. The techniques encourage improved alignment, core strengthening and provide a space for relaxation and restoration in the first few months of motherhood. This class is suitable for babies up to crawling.

£10 per class

Please note this class is currently full. I also teach pregnancy yoga at Kingston Hospital. Please contact the Wellbeing Centre in the Maternity Unit for details of pregnancy yoga classes there.
